Fuel Pump Technician

This position will require someone with:

* High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
* Valid state driver’s license and positive driving history required
* Minimum three years’ recent experience in maintenance of fueling systems required; certification preferred
* Basic knowledge, understanding, and ability to repair fueling and electrical systems required
* Minimum three years’ experience in piping and equipment maintenance required
* Basic understanding of OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures
* Basic understanding of construction practices
* Intermediate electrical knowledge
* Knowledge of:
* Gilbarco: Advantage, Encore 300, 500, 500s, and 700
* Veeder Root: TLS 350, 450, 450 Plus
* Wayne: Ovation, Vista 2/3
* Red Jacket: STPs, Isotrol, Contactors
* FE Petro: STPs, Smart Controller, MagVFC, Dispenser Hook Isolation
* Omntech: Controllers
* Gorman Rupp: AST Motors / Pumping Units
* Icon: Entry Boots
* Bravo: Entry Boots, Sumps
* OPW: Spill Buckets, Fittings
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to learn new products
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team oriented environment
* Intermediate mathematical skills
* Ability to read and interpret site drawings
* Ability to collaborate with various departments
* Strong attention to detail with ability to identify both potential and existing problems
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to work in congested areas during business hours
* Strong customer service skills
* Travel required up to 10%; occasional overnight stays required
* Climb ladders
* Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
* Exposure to various weather conditions and temperatures
* Able to bend, stoop, twist, crawl, kneel

The basic duties of this position include:

* Respond to service requests; troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment based on warranty and industry standards
* Collaborate with management and cross-functional leadership to coordinate maintenance projects, surveys, and implement new processes
* Communicate status of repair(s) to fuel maintenance supervisor and store management
* Complete same day work order repair notes and forward to supervisor; ensure correct entry of charge allocations
* Monitor truck stock to ensure required parts are available
* Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms in accordance with Pilot Flying J (PFJ) standards
* Ensure fueling systems are inspected for safety and maintenance issues
* Ensure repairs, equipment, and work activities are performed in accordance with OSHA regulations
* Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
* Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
* Complete other duties as assigned
