Job Description

The purpose of this job is to, under moderate supervision, prepare and file federal, state and local income tax returns with a focus on flow-through taxation.

In this role you will: 

  1. Prepare federal, state and local income tax returns with a focus on flow-through taxation (i.e., S Corporations, Partnerships)
  2. Prepare responses to notices and audit information requests from various federal, state and local authorities
  3. Assist accounting department with tax account reconciliations
  4. Assist with other accounting projects
  5. Research and analyze technical tax issues
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
  • Master’s degree in accounting or taxation preferred
  • Minimum one year’s experience in public accounting or corporate/ public accounting preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuit of CPA preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Tax research
  • Accounting and tax software skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work with moderate supervision
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to conduct tax research utilizing appropriate resources
  • Lift up to 20 pounds
