Job Description

The purpose of this position is to account for the reconciliation of futures, serve as subject matter expert and drive synergies between internal stakeholders.

Essential Functions 

  1. Review, analyze, and reconcile daily activity between trade capture platform and the Future Commission Merchant (FCM) statement
  2. Identify and resolve issues associated with FCM reconciliations
  3. Prepare daily margin notifications associated with clearing activity
  4. Respond to trader inquiries and support trading platforms.
  5. Serve as subject matter expert in the Daily P&L and Position reporting matters; research projects on daily activity and results; answer and resolve internal and external position questions
  6. Identify and deliver synergies across functional departments within the company
  7. Ensure accurate and timely data entry of deal and cost provisions into the Energy Trade Risk Management (ETRM) system, review necessary adjustments and work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to resolve issues
  8. Provides support and management requests from both External and Internal Auditors
  9. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  10. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

  12. Provide ad hoc reporting and complete other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field required
  • Minimum two years’ Energy trading experience preferred

  • Internal auditing, compliance/process improvement, or regulatory reporting experience preferred

Specialized Knowledge 

  • Experience with ETRM or RightAngle preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required; advanced skills preferred
  • Understanding of front, middle, and back-office business and operational risks impacting an energy marketing function required
