Job Description

Perform analysis of retail and restaurant data, utilizing intermediate data mining techniques and visualizations to uncover insights that drive business growth. Develop reports and dynamic dashboards that highlight performance and provide recommendations to business partners. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company policies, and contribute to identifying potential opportunities for operational improvements and business strategies.

  1. Provide performance evaluations of promotions, changes in assortment and space, competitive position, experiments, and limited time offers.  Offer detailed and actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  2. Develop and automate advanced reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and statistical scripting languages to monitor and track business KPIs and initiatives.
  3. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and perform intermediate-level research to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making and help identify business growth opportunities.
  4. Apply data mining techniques to analyze large datasets, extract insights, and contribute to the development of predictive models for forecasting future business outcomes and market trends.
  5. Collaborate with Category Management teams to develop strategies based on business performance and insights.  Run scenarios to model financial impact.
  6. Actively participate in team discussions and problem-solving.
  7. Ensure all analyses, reports, and dashboards adhere to company policies, maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and security while complying with all relevant regulations.
  8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
  9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  10. Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, finance or STEM fields required
  • Master’s degree in business analytics or STEM field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in data analytics or related industries preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required
  • Intermediate skills in SQL required
  • Intermediate skills in R or Python preferred
  • Intermediate skills in Tableau
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, execute tasks and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly
