Job Description

Our Billing Specialist is responsible for maintaining a high level of transaction accuracy between Wholesale, Retail, DEF and Freight Only customers through data validation and transaction assurance.   In addition, responsible for issue resolution between the customer and Pilot through order investigation.

1. Work closely with the responsible parties to ensure loads are being entered and completed timely and accurately

2. Communicate missing paperwork requests to the Paperwork Resolutions group in order to validate your orders

3. Provide support to our Wholesale, Retail, DEF and Freight Only customers related to order information, paperwork requests, assist with credit/rebill inquiries in a timely fashion

4. Validate orders from dispatch with the information uploaded by drivers, make any necessary adjustments

5. Ensure all data is accurate and ready for timely billing

6. Collaborate with other groups to resolve any set up, pricing, tax, etc discrepancies for customer invoices

7. Investigate, resolve, and follow up on invoice/billing issues identified internally and externally

8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

10. Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent certificate required

2. Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum two years’ experience in customer service

3. Preferred experience in either Logistics or Accounting ( AP / AR / billing )
