Job Description

The purpose of this job is to lead, train, and motivate the payroll team, ensure correct wage and hour compliance, maintain and update payroll records and resolve payroll discrepancies including those for international payroll.

  1. Responsible for supporting and processing weekly payroll for 30k team members
  2. Responsible for supporting payroll taxes and financials
  3. Review and approve terminations and process final payments in accordance with state and provincial laws
  4. Partner with Benefits, Legal, HR, and Compensation to process all legal settlements, deferred compensation, commissions, and bonuses
  5. Manage processes through metric evaluation and audits for payroll transactions
  6. Enter labor reclasses, voids, and pull backs
  7. Process void, manual, and adjustment payroll cycles weekly
  8. Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
  9. Prepare reports for upper management
  10. Collaborate with other departments to create/revamp processes in order to improve efficiencies
  11. Supports cross-functional activities and work sessions
  12. Ensure all activities are in compliance with US and Canada laws
  13. Responsible for process documentation of all standard operating procedures for payroll
  14. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  15. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance or related field or payroll certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
  • Minimum five years’ experience in payroll or related area required
  • Workday experience as a plus
