Job Description

The purpose of this job is to help senior leaders in Wholesale Supply & Marketing drive strategic business planning and support reporting and change management while building and maintaining key relationships across the organization.

  1. Organize ideas, projects, people, time, and resources necessary to keep all the Wholesale business moving forward
  2. Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, facilitate special projects and ensure action items are executed on behalf of the VP
  3. Establish, manage and continually grow effective business relationships with key customers and partners.
  4. Grow strategic purchases of renewable fuels and collaborate with the supply team members to maximize value when placing barrels into end use markets
  5. Support VP in the preparation of presentations to include board and executive committee
  6. Provide analysis, recommendations and options to VP regarding high impact decisions
  7. Communicate the VPs vision, ideas, projects and process to necessary partners including connecting the dots across all organizations, inclusive of continued entity consolidation
  8. Implement the appropriate tools and measures to driver results within Wholesale Supply & Marketing, including the creation of regular reporting cadence as well as facilitating the creation of a forecasting model
  9. Work with key leaders to deliver, monitor and communicate programs and their progress
  10. Partner with key leaders to define, prepare and communicate organizational plans, including quarterly, annual and 3-year strategies
  11. Analyze and report performance based on strategies and business goals and recommend needed improvement
  12. Identify and develop relationships with high-value counterparties to further S&D and PFJE initiatives
  13. Proactively address pressing business issues
  14. Serve as a trusted advisor and brainstorming partner
  15. Provide independent, informed, and unbiased insight including real time feedback
  16. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required with a focus on business administration, finance or accounting preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Supply, Energy or a related filed
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
  • Strong understanding of Supply, Energy and Transportation
  • Strong financial analysis, budget planning and management experience and skills
  • Experience working with and managing the full range of stakeholders (executives, front and back office, commercial partners such as vendors, suppliers, and service providers)
  • Ability to work in a flexible manner and willingness to undertake other duties as assigned
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, execute tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly
  • Travel required less than 30%
  • General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
