Job Description

In this role, you 'll

1. Compile, consolidate and analyze accounting and finance information to produce financial statements and reports
2. Verify, allocate, post journal entries and reconcile varying ledger accounts
3. Respond to ad-hoc financial inquiries by analyzing, summarizing and interpreting data
4. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems, processes and procedures
5. Ensure compliance with external audits by assisting as needed
6. Work closely with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
7. Maintain own knowledge of new finance and accounting policies and regulations
8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field required
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting and/or finance required
  • Intermediate knowledge of Mark-to-Market (MTM) accounting
  • Knowledge of Right Angle or other ETRM software
  • Advanced knowledge of General Ledger (e.g., Lawson) accounting software required
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork, conflict management, influencing and negation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly
  • Travel required less than 15%
  • General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to work evenings and odd hours as needed
