Job Description

  In this role you will manage the IT Quality Assurance (QA) team, plan and direct QA policies, programs and initiatives to ensure that testing quality standards and user requirements are met to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. 
Essential Functions :

1. Manage, develop, and coordinate QA team member efforts; conduct performance reviews

2. Develop and maintain all QA practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics

3. Lead the design and implementation of testing frameworks, test infrastructure and tools

4. Monitor incoming project requests, evaluate for readiness and provide team assignments

5. Collaborate with the business to develop project schedules and resource allocation for QA related projects and other activities

6. Drive continuous improvement through the strengthening of quality tools, skills, infrastructure and process improvements required to achieve business objectives

7. Develop resource strategies to accommodate deficiencies in internal resource availability and/or skills to ensure all testing commitments are met

8. Communicate quality control standards and processes to all relevant internal departments, outside vendors, and/or contractors 

Qualifications :

-Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred

-Minimum seven years’ IT / software QA experience, including a minimum three years in a supervisory or management position

-Test automation tool experience

-Strong knowledge of databases and related tools and processes

-Strong knowledge of application platforms and workflows

-Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, agile, etc.) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools
