We are currently seeking an experienced Fuel Transport Driver with an excellent driving record. The right candidate will have a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and 1 year of tractor/trailer driving experience. Monday - Friday! Day Shift!
Essential Functions
1. Serve as the point of contact for all Drivers in the operational area for day-to-day issues
2. Schedule and manage equipment maintenance to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and legal regulations.
3. Provide operational training for new and existing Drivers
4. Serve as a point of contact for Sales and Support Center and field managers in the operational area
5. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer; report any mechanical issues to appropriate personnel
6. Accurately maintain electronic daily driver logs, paper logs where applicable, and all necessary delivery tickets and bills of lading
7. Load, transport, and unload fuel at terminals, stores, wholesale, and retail customers’ tanks in compliance with company and terminal policies and guidelines for transporting hazardous materials
8. Enter all load information into the electronic reporting system at time of loading and delivery
9. Communicate with logistics department and field management on customer issues or safety concerns
10. Maintain and promote professional relationships with all company team members, terminal employees, customers, and guests
11. Ability to safely clean up a fuel spill or notify the correct personnel in a timely manner
12. Maintain cleanliness of truck and trailer.
13. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
14. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
15. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred
• Minimum one-year prior experience driving a combination vehicle required
• Hold and maintain a current Class A Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with hazmat and tanker endorsements required; doubles where required by operation
• Maximum of two moving violations in the previous three-year period Qualify for and maintain a DOT medical examination certificate required
Specialized Knowledge
• Knowledge of federal regulations: Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), OSHA, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as pertain to fuel transport and delivery

Travel
Travel required is less than 5%
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
• Walk, reach, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds
• Safely work and/or drive in all types of weather conditions
• Safely install tire chains when needed due to weather conditions
• Sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Work around fuel drop areas, trucks, trailers, and fuel hauling equipment
• Exposure to various weather conditions and temperatures
