Are you a proactive and analytical student with a passion for supply chain and a knack for solving complex problems? Pilot Company is seeking a Logistics Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2026. This is a unique opportunity to tackle a real, current problem our logistics team is facing, with the potential to create tools and processes that will be used for years to come.
In this role, you'll be an integral part of the logistics team, refining our processes and creating improved department tools. You'll help us explore new opportunities and visualize data, which will expose you to our supply chain business while improving our operational efficiency. This is an ideal position for a curious and collaborative student who can work autonomously to drive tangible results.
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities may include:
- Gain exposure to our supply chain business: Logistics plans, schedules, and executes the delivery of hundreds of fuel loads daily, accounting for millions of dollars in fuel buying decisions. This includes analyzing driver and market data to create the lowest cost action plans, prevent fuel outages, and capitalize on arbitrage opportunities, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Tackle real-world problems: Take on current logistics challenges, with projects potentially involving driver scheduling or increasing gallons hauled. Specific projects will be determined closer to the start of the internship to align with business needs.
- Refine processes: Aid in refining and optimizing our processes.
- Visualize data: Help the team visualize and interpret data using Tableau.
- Provide lasting value: Contribute to the logistics department by creating tools that will be used for years to come.
- Analyze data and present findings: Use your data analysis and presentation skills to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders at varying levels.
- Education: A junior or senior pursuing a Supply Chain major preferably with a business analytics minor.
- Technical Skills: Experience in data analysis is essential. Experience with Tableau and/or SAP, as well as other database management tools, is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. We're looking for someone who is curious and can work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively with stakeholders at varying levels. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills are also crucial.
- Experience: Previous work or organizational experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus.

This is a full-time, in-person internship, running from June 1-August 6, 2026. You’ll be working alongside our team in our N. Peters office in Knoxville, TN, where you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and experience the full scope of life at Pilot Company.
