Join Pilot Flying J as a MiscellaneousIncome Accountant

The purpose of this job is to classify,examine, and analyze accounting records, prepare related financial reports andstatements for management, and handle less complex aspects of accounting role.

Responsibilities:

·  Perform general accounting activities includingthe preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts andfinancial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements andcapital expenditure schedules

·  Pay vendor invoices; receive and post customerpayments on a timely basis

·  Prepare, record, analyze, and report accountingtransactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness,accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles

·  Provide financial support, includingforecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget

·  Analyze and prepare statutory accounts,financial statements, and reports

·  Conduct or assist in the documentation ofaccounting projects

·  Perform special projects as assigned

·  Model behaviors that support the company’scommon purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highestlevel

·  Ensure all activities are in compliance withrules, regulations, policies, and procedures

·  Complete other duties as assigned

·  Maintain, collect, and reconcile accountspayable or receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports

·  Prepare analyses and reconciliations to detectfraud

·  Respond to department related inquiries viae-mail and phone call

·  Complete audit schedules to support internal andexternal requests

·  Review contracts and implement settlementprocesses

Requirements:

·  High school diploma or equivalent certificationrequired

·  Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountingpreferred

·  Minimum two years’ experience in accounting orrelated area required

·  General Ledger experience preferred

·  Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

·  Strong organizational skills with attention todetail

·  Excellent analytical and critical thinkingskills

·  Strong teamwork, problem solving, conflictmanagement, influencing, and negotiation skills

·  Strong written and verbal communication skillsincluding the ability to communicate financial principles and practices withnon-finance team members

·  Ability to meet deadlines, work extended hourswhen necessary, and perform work with a high sense of urgency
