Job Description

Our company seeks a seasoned and innovative Product Designer to bolster our dynamic team. In this critical position, you will take the lead in comprehending user needs and business objectives, transforming them into intuitive design solutions, and spearheading ongoing design enhancements.

As a Product Designer, you will spearhead collaborations with cross-functional Agile teams, including engineers, product managers, and other designers, to create products prioritizing the user. You will primarily focus on orchestrating seamless interfaces and captivating user experiences, ensuring our products are functional and delightful. Your day-to-day tasks will span from building wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes to pitching design ideas to internal teams and stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with consumer insights to perform usability testing on your design solutions. Your design leadership will be pivotal in determining our digital platforms' aesthetics, practicality, and user experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Grasp and incorporate user needs, business objectives, and technical limitations into design considerations.
  • Ideate and create comprehensive product designs that cater to user needs and align with business objectives.
  • Guide collaborations with multidisciplinary teams comprising product managers, researchers, engineers, and marketers.
  • Champion continuous design enhancements by integrating user feedback, usability results, and design best practices.
  • Advocate and justify design decisions grounded in user needs, design principles, and business objectives.
Qualifications

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field is required. A Masters degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience would be a plus.

Experience

For the Product Designer III role, an ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in a product design role designing innovate digital solutions. The candidate must have a profound understanding of user-centered design principles, hands-on experience with design software, and a track record of leading successful product design projects. Expertise in design systems, information architecture, user research, usability testing, and managing a design team is highly desirable. Working experience with design software such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD is required. Some level of working experience on mobile applications is preferred with understanding of Apples Human Interface Guidelines and Googles Material 3 guidelines a plus. Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies is a plus.

The ideal candidate will also have a rich portfolio that showcases a deep understanding of design principles, creativity, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills. In the absence of a portfolio, a PDF is acceptable.
