Pilot's Systems Product Owner is the owner and advocate for the execution and aspirations of key business to business communications in our customers’ journeys. This person owns all the technology and experience capabilities required to meet business needs. They own the design/delivery of critical customer experience enhancements and maintain the overall B2B systems roadmap.

  1. Set ambitious and clear product vision, ensure that project or department milestones / goals are met and communicate progress effectively to stakeholders and the team
  2. Understand business and customer needs / pain points by reviewing qualitative and quantitative insights, facilitating research, and reviewing product performance for increased value
  3. Attend and play key role in all ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, retro, stand ups, etc.)
  4. Champion the team by communicating a clean understanding of the project vision for quality design, removing roadblocks, flagging issues, and ensuring progress
  5. Create and manage product/project roadmaps:
    • Distill product roadmap into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria
    • Evaluate unforeseen issues, assign value, and integrate into the product roadmap
    • Present product/project to developers to give clear vision of ask and direction
    • Prioritize and manage sprint backlog- drive priority decisions
    • Support developers and QA personnel as needed
    • Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting across all backlog items for enhanced visibility
  6. Take responsibility for technical decisions that share the product roadmap that will add the most value/ROI
  7. Work closely with Credit, Sales, Connect, Pricing, and representatives of other business verticals to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met
  8.  Stay up to date on and promote new technology, provide suggestions for business on enhancing technical functionality
  9. Collaborate and build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with overall strategy
  10. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  11. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  12. Complete other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong experience working with technical teams (developers)
  • Strong experience with JIRA
  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, business, and experience leading teams in an agile setting
  • Ability to lead a development team to set strategic priorities and resolve issues
  •  Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress
