Pilot Flying J is looking for an enthusiastic Production Design Intern to join its creative team. The intern will work collaboratively with the design team to develop and create a variety of content for various communication channels, including print and digital materials.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn and collaborate on a multi-functional team. They are expected to have an eye for detail and a knack for finding ways to bring ideas to life through design.
- Conceptualize, develop, and design high-quality assets
- Collaborate with internal & external teams to understand objectives & execute on provided requirements
- Utilize up-to-date software & technologies (Acrobat Pro, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and extra points for Figma, FigJam, & Sketch etc.)
- Work effectively within established brand guidelines
- Participate weekly in design reviews and meetings by being attentive, giving and receiving feedback, and asking questions.
- Additional responsibilities TBD through Pilot Company Internship programming
The intern program experience is offered for current college and university students.
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or a related field of study (marketing or communications with interest in visual is acceptable)
- Moderate expertise in industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma)
- Understanding of production processes from conception to completion
- Ability to take direction yet make independent decisions when necessary
- Strong knowledge of typography, color theory & space usage principles
- Must come hungry to learn
- Applicant must provide a portfolio or examples of recent or best work

Specialized Knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Moderate expertise in industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma)
