Job Description

The purpose of this job is to collaborate with the commercial team and oversee, manage, optimize, and execute all Latin America in-country shipments for PFJ Energy Operations.

Essential Functions

  1. Schedule and logistically execute all Latin America in-country truck and rail shipments
  2. Manage storage locations and inventories in various countries at several terminals
  3. Nominate, schedule, and execute marine shipments of Refined Products and Renewable Fuels
  4. Oversee product quantity and quality control for all marine shipments and vetting of all shipment documents ensuring accuracy and completion
  5. Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely import and export filings
  6. Network and build relationships with terminals, ship owners, ship brokers and inspection companies
  7. Enter and manage all truck, rail, and marine shipment information into the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system
  8. Work collaboratively with the commercial, mid-office and settlement teams as well as external counterparties to resolve discrepancies
  9. Participate in special projects identified by manager, operations team, and traders
  10. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  11. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  12. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Fluent in English and Spanish required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Management, Finance, or relevant field experience required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience scheduling and executing truck, rail, and/or marine operations required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a trading environment handling logistics and transportation required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience Latin America in-country scheduling and logistics execution preferred

Specialized Knowledge

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required; Advanced preferred
  • Energy Operations lifecycle via various modes of transportation
  • Product specifications for Refined Products and Renewable Fuels
  • Experience using Right Angle preferred
