Job Description

The purpose of this job is to prepare and file store license applications and renewals.
Essential Functions    

  1. Prepare and file store license applications and renewals including gross receipts analysis to determine renewal fees
  2. Perform duties associated with payment, accounting, and documentation of tax or license liabilities 
  3. Work with third party property tax provider to manage payments and journal entries
  4.  Assist in reconciling licensing, business tax, gross receipts, and property tax budgets
  5. Help prepare economic impact study data requests
  6. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  7. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  8. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications

 

  • Associate degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field preferred
  • Minimum one year multi-state general retail licensing experience preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills 
  • Familiarity with Lawson or Infor preferred
  • Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction and Canadian tax and licensing laws
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to set priorities, multitask, meet deadlines, and resolve problems with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet deadlines
