Job Description

The purpose of this job is to provide the company and senior leadership with the information and analysis to make informed business decisions related to future projects as well as the financial analysis of the success of executed projects.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and distribute annual PFJ Energy budget and track financial performance against the final figures throughout the year
  • Complete data analysis for all departments and business sectors throughout the PFJ Energy business group
  • Prepare and distribute weekly estimates and monthly financial forecasts across all PFJ Energy entities
  • Manage various short-term and long-term projects for all business segments and across all departments including but not limited to joint ventures, change management, and various consultants throughout the company
  • Provide merger and acquisition analysis and support, review contracts, financial statements, projection, and other relevant documents
  • Provide internal and external financial reporting and analysis across all PFJ Energy business sectors, and operational areas including external bank reporting, quarterly financials, management reporting, and board of directors’ materials
  • Analyze monthly account reconciliations performed by various team members throughout the company; complete monthly and quarterly calculations supporting financial statements
  • Research and analyze all rules and regulations impacting the company and the industry and provide analysis to management
  • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure all team members are supported at the highest level
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Additional Duties

The following additional duties may also be required:

  • May assist with or coordinate annual audit completing and reviewing various accounting calculations supporting the annual audited financial statements
  • May manage the annual external audit and work of consultants throughout the year
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent required
  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum two years’ of directly related work experience required

Specialized Knowledge

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; Advanced Excel preferred
  • Working knowledge of various financial reporting systems and databases such as Budgeting, Hyperion, Lawson, Tableau, and SQL
