Job Description

The purpose of this job is to support, maintain, and improve bank card, fleet card, and check payment processing (200 plus forms of payment), settlement, reconciliation, and the customer payment experience within the company enterprise

  • Provide escalated support and assist with the management of the payments system operations and environment
  • Manage troubleshooting and analysis of escalated issues with existing payments components, applications, processes (including funding), data, files, and reports; determine appropriate actions to take and direct additional Analyst I and Analyst II activities as needed; follow through to ensure resolution of issues
  • Participate in strategic planning by providing recommendations on direction for current system enhancements, new features, or functionality
  • Recommend and maintain operating standards for all company payments environments
  • Manage Payments team involvement with multi-partner projects and perform payments related project activities including requirements definition, design, validation, implementation, and support activities through all phases
  • Lead payments production support issue resolution and related projects including scripting, component, and database updates
  • Work with vendors to define existing functionality enhancements or new functionality required to support business objectives; review specifications, manage installation, validation, and implementation of updates across development, test, quality assurance (QA), and production
  • Provide direction and assistance to Payments team members with task execution through collaboration, mentoring, and review
  • Serve as escalated point of contact and subject matter expert for business users and support teams for issues related to use of payments systems
  • Ensure vendor expectations are met and the company’s priorities are maintained
  • Create new documentation or maintain existing documentation for payment system projects, environment components, implementations, training, and procedures
  • Review and analyze payments system performance (processing and database) to identify improvement opportunities across systems; propose solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferably related to computer science and technology required
  • Experience within the convenience and petroleum industry and/or commercial fueling preferred
  • Experience with ACI Worldwide Postilion preferred Specialized Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows including Microsoft Office
  • Working understanding of EFT technology and systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and ability to perform advanced scripting, complex database querying, and report development
  • Experience with an onsite payments system or advanced understanding of retail payments or commercial payments processing environments
  • Ability to understand payments messaging specifications including ISO 8583, VISA, American Express, etc.
  • Working knowledge of coding languages .NET, VB, etc. preferred
