Job Description

Serve as an internal expert within our Advanced Analytics group, employing statistical and quantitative risk models to inform decision-making within our energy trading, risk, and commercial fuel operations group.

  • Analyze large datasets using statistical models, machine learning, and data mining to generate actionable insights for commercial functions.
  • Provide critical analytics support to the Executive Leadership Team for key strategic decisions, including market analysis, risk assessment, pricing strategy, and identifying commercial opportunities.
  • Collaborate on the strategic planning process, aligning with the company’s long-term vision and ensuring integration across Advanced Analytics, Data Science, IT, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Create statistical tools, reports, and dashboards that offer advanced KPIs to business stakeholders, such as forecasting models and risk assessments.
  • Utilize quantitative methods in collaboration with cross-functional teams to assess and manage market and operational risks.
  • Refine and manage analytical data products, such as commercial forecasting engines, to support leadership in strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Interpret analytical findings and present complex information in a clear manner to business stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Employ rigorous statistical methodologies in experiments across commercial fuel, trading, and risk spaces to drive incremental value and strategic changes.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with business stakeholders, creating a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
  • Three years’ commodity trading experience required; three to five years’ in Finance, Banking, Consulting, Corporate Development or Economic Planning, preferred
