Job Description

This position will be responsible for RPA design and development efforts for the automation of various parts of the Pilot Company business segments. This is a key role within Pilot Flying J’s automation efforts.

Essential Functions 1. Provide essential, advanced technical guidance across multiple platforms for business process automation using Blue Prism 2. Technical leadership of the Pilot development team including code review, logic recommendations, and development oversight. 3. Create and maintain documentation for solutions, focusing on methodology and technical content. 4. RPA design, development, testing, and implementation 5. Analyze and resolve automation software issues where required 6. Identify and communicate risks associated with process automation candidates, and provide potential mitigation solutions 7. Determine solutions for ongoing improvements to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of systems, platforms, and processes 8. Support investigation and remediation of production level issues 9. Support production deployments processes and performance testing 10. Managing automation backlog by delivering on a prioritized list of new requests 11. Regular meetings with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and off-shore development teams 12. Problem solving issues that arise with automation and providing solutions in a timely manner 13. Mature technical capabilities to help accelerate and advance automation while assuring that we are up-to-date on the latest tools, versions, services, and automation trends 14. Collaborate and ensure alignment with the RPA support team and business partners to assure a cohesive approach 15. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level 16. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures 17. Complete other duties as assigned


1. Bachelor’s degree in _Computer Science or Industrial engineering required
or equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Minimum 5+ years in software development required (robotics automation
preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
3. Experience with creating and running automation including ability to write
queries and stored procedures

Specialized Knowledge

1. Experience with Blue Prism automation platform required
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows including Microsoft Office
(Outlook, Excel, Word, etc) required
3. Working knowledge of HTML and Java Scripts preferred
4. Knowledge of SQL and basic DBA skills preferred
5. Understand and adhere to software development standards, guidelines,
and protocols
