Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages and directs a sales force in multiple geographic areas to achieve or exceed sales and profit goals. Sets short term sales strategies and designs and recommends, often in conjunction with suppliers, sales programs and special pricing. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques and training programs to increase sales volume. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs, supports, mentors, coaches, and evaluates Sales personnel to established goals and objectives
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the strategic sales and marketing plan.
  • Assist in customer relations by meeting with key clients, assisting sales reps with maintaining relationships, negotiation, and closing new business
  • Responsible for recruitment, training and development of a team that consistently exceeds goals.
  • Provides ongoing supervision of sales staff including goal setting, monitoring of production, and consistently tracking performance to goals, while developing corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborates with other departments in working toward common goals
  • Manages Pipeline activity consistent with pre-determined criteria
  • Manages NAICS and Contact content within the Sage CRM database
  • Manages all reports currently in place to track staff productivity
  • Conducts individual and team coaching sessions and meetings per policy
  • Identify, monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition and understand the competition’s value proposition. Maintains this within Sage CRM.
  • Prompt and responsive to staff, management, and supplier inquiries
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by direct supervisor
  • Primarily local travel and occasional overnight travel required.

 

Pay Base Rates Starting between: $162,150-$214,890 / year

Qualifications
  • At least five years of successful sales management experience with P&L responsibility
  • Direct B2B sales management experience with emphasis on small, medium, and large
  • accounts
  • Previous sales forecasting experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
  • Industry experience preferred
