Job Description

The purpose of this job is to support, maintain, and repair phone systems in Pilot Flying J (PFJ) retail and wireless mobile devices at Knoxville Support Center, including above-store PFJ Team Members in the field. 

  • Work with telecommunications vendor technicians to troubleshoot phone system issues at PFJ facilities
  • Approve service invoices for work performed at PFJ facilities
  • Assist Telecommunications Support employees with training and troubleshooting difficult issues
  • Monitor work of telecommunications vendors
  • Determines appropriate action to take for repairing or replacing phone systems
  • Determine purchase source of depot parts for phone systems and mobile devices
  • Manage, develop and guide Telecom and Wireless Support team
  • Manage, support, and oversee wireless mobile accounts (Verizon/AT&T)
  • Oversee Wireless Support email inbox, incoming support calls, and trouble tickets
  • Fulfill new order requests for mobile devices



  • High school diploma or equivalent certification required
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Avaya,, Cisco or other phone system certifications
  • Telecommunications knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Fundamental Networking knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot telecommunications problems
